Ring of the Nibelung: Sigfried

Artist P. Craig Russell created a comic book adaptation for all four volumes of Ring of the Nibelungs for Dark Horse comics. Volume #3 features the adaptation of the play "Siegfried", about a young man who grows up in the forest, and I must say, Russell made the 16 year old protagonist look yummy! Not only is he handsome with a hot body, but he wears a loincloth and boots as well! The following scans are from Ring of the Nibelung Book 3: Sigfried #1.

P. Craig Russell is such an awesome (and actually openly gay) artist and he draws particularly gorgeous guys, his Killraven work for Marvel is very stunning and hot too!

I have this whole series (the four books). And I do remember how hot Siegried looked. Back then, I was closer in age to him, too.
@DAN, yeah Russell is probably the most known out artist in the business (next to Joe Phillips & Phil Jemenez). No wonder he draws such hot guys!

@César, I think its great that's you have this whole series. Most people just collect superhero comics, I think we should also support film & book adaptations as well as original material.

Back then I worked in a comic book shop, so I actually had to check the Previews catalog each month.

I found out about a lot of awesome series I could get from issue #1, like this one, Mike Wieringo's Tellos and a few others.
You worked at a comic book shop? Lucky!

P. Craig Russell has always been one of my favorite artists. And when I found out he was gay I became an even greater fan.
Yeah, he's probably the first out & proud artist in the industry. Kudos to him for that.

I didn't know he was gay. I saw the solicit for the book and loved it, so I knew I had to have it. Really beautiful adaptation. He even talks about the process in the extras in each issue.

I loved working there at the comic book shop. I practically spent all my earned money there, too.
