Airboy Bondage

Airboy was an comic book hero created around World War II. Eclipse Comics revived the character in the 80, starring in his own self title monthly comic with Chuck Dixon as the writer.  One of the things I love about those old pulp magazines is how much they got away with when it comes to bondage. The first scan if from Air Fighters Vol. 2 # 2 in which Airboy has been captured and bound by the cleavage-tasticValkyrie. The second scan is from the Eclipse Comics series, It's the cover for Airboy #8.

Heh, I remember that second cover rather well! :)
I love that cover too! Its a shame that the interiors didn't match. In the issue, he wasn't chained up, rather he was in a glass covered pit. Where's the bondage in that?! lol

I think alot of bondage from vintage magazines & comics came out of the sexual repression of the times, especially from the 30's-60's. And that sucks that they made a bondage cover, but put none of it in the actual issue, I just detest false advertising!
@DAN, oh, don't get me started about misleading covers! There are a few covers out there that features a shirtless hero on the cover but in the interiors he's fully cloth. False advertising indeed. In this case though, Airboy is still shirtless and imprisoned, but there was no bondage at all.

Also, I agree that all the old pulp magazines featured scantily clad men & women in bondage because of how conservative they were back in the day. It was like porn for them! lol
