Spider Man in a Towel

In Spider-Men #5, after getting back from his adventure in the Ultimate Universe were he met his current counterpart Miles Morales (Peter Parker of the Ulti U is dead), Spidey decides to check if there's also a Main Universe version of the the kid. And what he finds shocks him (cliffhanger!).

Oh, and did I mention that he did it after he just got out of the shower, looking hot in nothing but towel?

Nice! I'll have to research who this artist is as this style doesn't look familiar. Sexy and adorkable, without being overly beefy or overly geeky, just the way a shirtless Peter should be! :)

Peter has such smooth armpits. Me likes.

And this is an interesting use of a crossover.
@DAN, the artist is Sara Pichelli & she is amazing! I love the way she draws Peter, but she also draw a great looking in-costume Spidey.

@Cesar, i liked this crossover too. The main villain plot was weak but that was just really a means to an end. The real meat of this story is Peter interacting with Miles, the Ultimates & helping the still grieving Aunt May & Gwen Stacy move on. It was nice that they chose such a sweet story for the 1st ever 616/Ultimates crossover as opposed to a big event.

I do not follow the Ultimate universe, but hadn't the Fantastic Four had some type of cross over with 616?
I wikipediaed it. It appears that the Ultimate Fantastic Four arc called "Crossover" was promoted as a crossover with 616 but it was a red herring. The FF actually went to zombie infected dimension which lead to Marvel Zombies.

Loved Ultimate FF, especially those zombie issues, but after issue 32 (the conclusion of the zombie arc) the book went hopelessly downhill fast. I liked Ultimate Spidey too, but not as much as UFF up until it hit issue 90 something and Bendis did his take on the Clone Saga, yuck! Never liked the Ultimates as it was always too shock value-y like when they made Black Widow a traitor or Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver incestuous, ugh!
I used to love the Ultimate Universe, then Ultimatum happened. Haven't read anything set in the Ulti U since then until Spider-Men. I think I might check out the current Ultimate Spider-Man comic though. I liked the Miles Morales character based on what I've seen in Spider-Men & Sara Pichelli's art looks awesome.

Shock value?

You mean, like when the following issue was finally released, after months of being late?

It is out! Shock!

Heheheheh.
Lol, but seriously the delay was just embarrassing from Marvel.

You tell me. I used to work on a comic book shop back when the Ultimate Marvel line came out.

And The Ultimates was on the same level of lateness as Madureira's series, which is the worst (Mad's busy playing video games).
