Flash Gordon Swimming

In Flash Gordon #1 (1988, published by DC), Flash and Dale Arden go for a little swim... on an alien planet. With no clue whether the water is safe to swim in. Or if it's even water to begin with. Flash dives right in, Dale had he doubts but eventually succumbs to peer pressure. Any excuse to see beefcake & cheesecake I say.

YAY, Blonde and fuzzy, just how I love 'em! I'll have to look up who drew this awesomeness!

AHH, Dan Jurgens, I should've known, he loves drawing and writing hot blondes like Booster Gold, and his Superman was was very spectacular looking even though I hated that whole Death of Superman event. I'll have to look for this Flash Gordon mini as it was all drawn and written by Jurgens apparently.
I love me some Jurgens art too! Though I was slightly disappointed that Flash didn't have many shirtless scenes in this volume. He barely wore a shirt in the movie, the serials, books, older comics & the (awful) TV series.

Well that's a surprise, I would've expected lots of shirtlessness from someone like Jurgens, especially after the 80s Flash Gordon movie had to have been a visual reference at the time this mini was produced based on how Jurgens makes his Flash look alot like the movie's star Sam J. Jones (who was such a beautiful hunk even if he wasn't a true blonde & couldn't act well, XD )
