Superboy Shirtless in "Bereft"

In the latest episode of Young Justice, Superboy was in fanservice-mode, and I loved it! He spent the entire episode shirtless and I'm sure the fangirls (and some fanboys) appreciated it! It seems that one of Supey's functions on the show is to make fangirls "squee".

In Bereft the team has lost all their memories from the past 6 months, this particularly sucks for Superboy since he's only 24 weeks old, so he has no memories at all. He goes all feral, ripping his own shirt off (squee!) and starts kicking his teammates' (and the Bialian army's) asses.

The Bialians capture Superboy with the help of Pisom. He is bound (squee!) and electrocuted (squee!) by a machine that is used to power a mysterious sphere (the Supercycle?). Eventually Miss Martian rescues him and together they defeat Prisom in a psychic battle. Even in the astral plane Supey is bare-chested (squee!). I'd like to think it was because he was in Megan's mind and she just chose to envision him shirtless since she's so smitten my him. Special thanks to PretenderNX01 for sending in screencaps.

I appreciate the nipples. So many cartoon hunks just have no nipples.
Agreed! It pisses me off when they don't have nipples.

Of course the images you got were much better quality- I bow down to the master ;)

I wonder if the producers just figured the story in this episode was more basic so make him shirtless for a thrill.

I too appreciate anatomy- in fact in some shots I swear Superboy has a bit of a bulge while moving around.

Lovely character design and animation, they sure made up for a less than stellar script with making Superboy shirtless the whole episode and some choice bondage to top it off! LOL, They know what we like to see! Thanks for the caps :)

Can't wait to see this episode.
@PretenderNX01, Well, it took a little while to download the HD version but I thought, what the hell, the readers of the blog would like it. lol BTW, I'm gonna post the stuff you sent me a while back, probably on Saturday.

@DAN, aw, I liked this episode's script. Specially the Wally/Artemis and Superboy/Miss Martian stuff. Damn! This show has made me a shipper!

@Arion, happy viewing!

Sorry, Pandesal, this episode's storyline just did nothing for me with the exception of the Superboy hotness of course! The previous couple of episodes, the Aquaboy\Aquaman family one in particular were much better story-wise..
Well, I'd have to agree, I think that the Aqualad episode was the best one so far. It was great to see Aquaman's supporting cast. Mera & the sidekicks were all badasses and Black Manta never looked that good in the comics. I also liked the how beautifully designed Atlantis was.

Really glad that Aquaman & family are making a comeback thanks to Geoff Johns, can't wait for a new well-written ongoing comic series for him, hopefully with sexy art as well!
I'm looking forward to the new series too, even though I'm still pissed that Garth died a senseless death and won't be in it. DC sure likes to kill off Aquaman's supporting cast, don't they?
DAN said…
LOL, that's for sure! It wasn't enough they allowed aquababy to get killed but they had to let Garth die too! And don't get me started on all the unnecessary reboots of Wonder Woman over the years, DC always seems to find ways to discourage readership of most their characters. If DC goes ahead with the rumored plan to kill Dick Grayson we'll officially know they want to have no readers and no sex appeal!
They're gonna kill Dick Grayson?! There goes the female & gay male Bat-readers. lol

Seriously though, Didio tried to kill him off during Infinite Crisis but thankfully some of the writers and Paul Levitz convinced him not to. I hope he doesn't try to off him again.

Oh wait, Aquaman has been rebooted and revamped almost as much as Wonder Woman has! DC needs better, more sane management overall, I think that's been the company's main problem the past 20-30 years compared to Marvel.
DAN said…
Yeah, Pandesal, Dick's in danger as long as Didio's at DC, as he just hates the character for some twisted insane reason.
I agree, Marvel's retcons are far more tolerable than DC's constant need to reboot/revamp or render things non-canon.

My main issue with Didio is that he seems to enjoy pissing fans off. He also seems to want to bring the silver age back. Why else would he revive Barry Allen? The whole fandom has accepted his death and moved on. His death was a milestone, now it's meaningless. And I hate that his return displaced Wally, my generation's Flash.

Didio needs to be fired and kept away from DC, Marvel, and all comics. Period. He's not a comic writer, artist, or fan really, just a business man that cares about making as much money as he can for himself. He's really a detriment to the whole comic industry, DC and Marvel both have plenty of comic veterans available to them who love the medium that can easily take over editorial and executive positions for both companies.

REAL sweet and sexy art, both at the same time. I like seeing this trend.
