In Green Lantern Vol. 3 #1, Hal Jordan's having a bit of existential crisis & wants to try to just be a regular guy, not a superhero. So he goes to a small town to do some bare-chested farm work. Good plan.Toobad Guy Gardner had to ruin it for him.

So, wait, some context is really necessary. I want to say this is after his resurrection but before Parallax was retcon'd as a space bug.
The real issue is, Parallax can't be a space bug, since possession would render the Green Lantern ring useless. (It's powered by its bearer's will.) At best, it would fly off to the strongest will in the sector who doesn't have a ring. (Canonically Dick Grayson, but he had his own issues at the time.)
