Jungle Batman (& Robin)

Holy beefake, Batman! icon_uk sent us these great screencaps featuring the Dynamic Duo in jungle attire! These caps are from "Jungle Batman" the teaser for the "Shadow of the Bat" episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold in which Catwoman and her panther hunt down the boys in the jugle. Since this show is has a more light-hearted tone than previous Batman animated incarnations, Catwoman's goal in this short teaser is to make Batman fall in love with her via an exotic flower from the jungle.

Yeah, they're pretty buff. I also like that they have nipples! Some animated show forget to draw them on sometimes.

Yeah, looking super buff here, and it's a nice surprise that they actually have nipples. I've tried to get into this show a couple of times, but it leans too much on comedy for my tastes, wish the writers could better balance seriousness and goofiness.

It's the shows willingness to mix and match the serious and sublimely silly which makes it work for me.

Put it this way, they actually managed to make Bruce's origin MORE tragic when the showed it in the series... Bruce had thrown a typical kids tantrum when he didn't get the Christmas gift he wanted from his dad (Who gave him an old toy which had come down through the family for generations). So to get him out of his sulk, Thomas suggested they go to the movies to cheer him up and the rest, as they say, is history.

@DAN, I finally watch a couple of episodes of this show. I think part of its appeal is that it unapologetic-ally embraces its silver-agey-ness (yeah, I made up that word).

@icon-uk, wow, that's a pretty brutal twist! Its Bruce's fault that they're dead!
