The Resurrection of Cypher

Since there have been a lot of discussion about Cypher in the comments for recent posts, I thought it was only fair to post his resurrection, also his shirt actually ripped open  as he rose from the dead so its' totally legal for me to post this on the blog. So Here's our beloved Doug as he's revived by Selene in X-Necrosia #1. Aw, he's still so cute after all these years.

Hmm, is admiring him in this scene almost like some sort of kinda-necrophilia? :)

And I know I'm getting old when I look at it and think "Doug, seriously, you're adorable, but get a haircut!"
Oh, I don't know about the haircut. IMHO, Doug wouldn't be Doug without his trademark fluffy hair. XD I just wish he'd get a better costume.

Yeah, he's the sexiest sorta zombie ever here, and the hair is just great, I wouldn't want him to get a hair cut.

Speaking of hot blonds, did anyone else see Thor? Chris Hemsworth is super hot, OMG, his body is truly out of this world, and he's so handsome too, Yum! :)
I've yet to see it DAN, but based on the reviews I read it seems to be a winner. Does Chris have a lot of shirtless scenes in it?

There's only one shirtless scene, but it's an extended scene, so you get a REALLY good look at him, plus be wears a really tight t-shirt in the rain for a lengthy sequence, Chris Hemsworth looks so damn good! :)

Oh yeah, and the Thor movie overall is a real blast and great fun, but don't waste money seeing it in 3D, stick to the cheaper 2D, there's not a big difference as it was filmed in 2D anyway.
Oh, so it wasn't shot in 3D? I'll take your advice then and just watch it at a regular screening. Movies that were shot in 2D and are then converted into 3D \look awful! *cough* Clash of the Titans *cough*.

And its good to know that we get a healthy dose of beefcake. It would've been a shame not to take advantage of Hemsworth's great physique. It pissed me off when Superman Returns only featured a one second shot of Brandon Routh's bare chest. I assumed since the director was gay that he'd give us more eye candy!

"Healthy dose"? Heck, it's practically your recommended monthly intake in one two hour package. Chris Hemsworth is a delight in the role, both visually and in terms of being the "Thor" of the comics.

The sense of scale and Kirby-ness in Asgard is also terrific. I think the 3D doesn't work that badly (especially in Asgard), apart from a couple of the melee fight scenes, where it cuts around too fast to be effective.

I saw it in 3D but I think I should have seen it in 2D.
And about Necrosia, I don't know, resurrection stories kind of put me off ...

Doug looks great with that hairdo, I vote he keeps it (a buzz cut as the one from AoA is not the same, or would work better if the artist remembered to draw a good looking face on Doug).

Thor is great, BTW. I loved it. I'd love it even if there were no shirtless scenes of Thor (though I would ask why there were not any, LOL). Expect a pic of shirtless Thor soon (a gift for my boyfriend, but I will share it online, too).
@icon-uk, nice to know that they sort of stayed true to the source material by having a Kirby inspired Asgard.

@Arion, I'm generally against resurrecting dead comic book characters, unless of course they resurrect characters that I like or ones that should not have been killed in the first place. I'm not a fan of the recent mass resurrection crossovers that Marvel (Necrosia) & and DC (Brightest Day) have done, but I'm glad that some of my fave characters are back from the dead. Now if only they can write them properly.

@Cesar, I still haven't seen it, but I want to! Gonna look forward to your Thor doodle.

Hope you like it.
I love it, Cesar! You don't see the god of thunder in briefs that often. And i like the long(er) hair.
