St. Patrick's day meets Gay Pride Parade outfit, I love it.
My thoughts exactly. I think this series has a huge gay following.

I haven't read the Anita Blake comics yet and the reason for that is because of the intensely horrendous artist (Brett Booth) attached to the book. How they allow sub-Rob Liefeld artists to work in comics when there are countless unbelievably talented undiscovered artists on sites like Deviantart is beyond me.
Aw, I like Booth. Don't judge me! He seems to be the go to guy when it comes to comic book adaptations of novels. I wouldn't call him sub-Liefeld, he's more Michael Turner-esque.

The one comic book project that would stop my heart dead in its tracks would be a "collaboration" between Michael Turner and Rob Liefeld (aka the two worst artists of the last twenty years). Fortunately such a collab is impossible now.

Don't diss Michael Turner & not even use an actual name, you disrespectful coward! You can dislike his art style all you want, but don't be so callous and sarcastic about the fact that he's dead, from cancer no less which he suffered with for several years while still trying to work. People can be so ignorant these days!
@Anonymous, that was quite harsh, I hope you were just kidding. It's one thing to not like someone's art, quite another to imply that you're happy that they're dead. I hope that was just a joke & hope you didn't mean it.

@DAN, you know normally I'd also be offended by stuff like this, but for past week I've been watching some Comedy Central Roasts on youtube and it made me realize that people say offensive things just as a joke and don't really mean them (most of the time). And that maybe I've been to over sensitive in the past. Anyhoo, I HOPE Anomymous didn't really mean what s/he said.

It didn't seem done jokingly to me, but even if it was, death jokes just aren't funny, a very dear relative of mine just recovered from cancer, so I'm sensitive about people being glad any cancer victim died.
DAN, I dunno why your last comment is missing (perhaps it was a casualty of blogger's recent maintenance) but I'd like to say that I agree with you, cancer is no laughing matter, it touches all of us, we all know someone who has or has had it. And I'm happy that your relative is doing well now.

Thanks, Pandesal! :) Yeah, lots of comments and posts from Thursday and Friday are missing from other blogspot sites too.

Am I glad Michael Turner is dead? Obviously not, he seemed like a great guy and plus, he wasn't too hard on the eyes either. Am I sorry I never ever have to witness another "special limited edition variant cover by super-star Michael Turner" which looks like a drawing a child did with his feet? No, f'ing way.

It's better to be honest than to patronize someone and that's exactly what the entire comic industry did for the last seven years of Michael Turner's life. Anyone with eyes can clearly see the man had the talent level of a high school freshman and the fact that everyone turned a blind eye to this fact just because they felt bad for him is what's really disrespectful.

And DAN, you're the disrespectful coward for treating me like this. How do you know I'm not currently inflicted with some sort of cancer myself. You're supposed to treat me kindly and talk to me in a soothing gentle tone, you know.

Quit being an actual coward and use an actual name when you post! Otherwise go away please, you're not being funny, you're just being an idiot.

.... and I clearly stated you don't have to pretend to like anyone or anyone's art, just don't make or insinuate a joke out of them being dead as you did because that's truly disrespectful and cowardly as stated, and again, USE A NAME WHEN YOU POST, and don't have the nerve to argue with and insult people while remaining completely unidentifiable.
@ANONYMOUS, Appreciating art is a matter of taste. Everyone's opinion will vary. I happen to like Michael Turner's art, do I think he's the bestest artist in the world? No, but the man has talent, IMO. He has a lot of fans who think he was great, otherwise he wouldn't be as successful as he became. Its all subjective. You may think his work is amateurish but that's your opinion, its not a fact.

And guys, let's not resort to name calling. We're not here to argue, we're here to enjoy the beefcake! (Just trying to diffuse the tension. lol)

Apparently "Anonymous," who's ashamed to use their name or even alias to take credit for their own opinions, IS here to argue, otherwise they would have not replied to me with such an obvious intentionally offensive & sarcastic post. They still are factually an idiot for continuing to think cancer & death are things to joke around about like they did with the statements "How do you know I'm not currently inflicted with some sort of cancer myself. You're supposed to treat me kindly and talk to me in a soothing gentle tone, you know." in reference to themselves. If they really had cancer they wouldn't think it so amusing. I don't want to argue with them, I just have to call "Anonymous" out on their utter offensiveness in this egregious case.

Okay DAN, to prove to you that I'm not a coward and to show you that I'm perfectly butch enough and like toadally manly enough to stand up and face off against someone on the comments section of a blog, I will type a random name into the Name/Url box of this page...just to show you that I'm not an unidentifiable coward but instead a very (but not really) identifiable non-coward.

There I did it.

Phew, I feel so exposed right now with my fake alias showing above my post, but you know what, it's liberating and atleast I've been redeemed in the eyes of a random stranger who may or may not be called DAN and who starts fights with strangers on the comment sections of blogs.

Okay, this has gone on long enough! Please stop arguing! This is not the place for it. I've deleted the offending comments

@BALOOGUR please don't use another users pseudonym to comment. That is unacceptable here (or anywhere else on the net) and if it happens again, I WILL ban you, not only from posting comments but from accessing the blog as well. I'm usually against banning someone from a blog, but I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

@DAN, I suggest that you create a blogger account or if you have a yahoo, gmail or my space account you can use Open ID to comment, that way, no one can steal your identity.
