Poor Logan can't get a break. Our favorite favorite adamantium-laced just wants to get some sleep (in a pair of sexy briefs), but he can't since he and Cyclops have to go to Switzerland. I must say, I like this cute little scene, especially considering these two will suposedly be at each others throats by the end of this limited series. First up we have the popular 1980's New Teen Titans. Here are Dick (Robin) and Wally (Kid Flash) in all their speedo-clad glory! Oh, and for the cheesecake lovers out there, Donna's in a swimsuit too. From New Teen Titans Vol. 1 #16.

Next we have the "Jurgens" Titans from Teen Titans Vol. 3 #6. The team has just finished moving into their new HQ, and you know what that means, it's time to take a dip in the pool. The de-aged Atom & Risk are my favorite members of this team.

Killraven by Alan Davis

Let's take a moment here to spotlight just how much hotter Alan Davis made Killraven and his crew in his Killraven 2002 limited series. For those not in the know, Killraven is from one of Marvel's post-apocalyptic futures (usually from Earth-691), in which Earth has been invaded by Martians. His first costume was pretty sexy, since he basically wore half a shirt. Well in Killraven, Mr. Davis gives him an even sexier outfit! He got rid of the pants all together and Killraven and the gang seem to be clad in Warlord of Mars inspired costumes!

It was later revealed that this not the same Killraven we've read about in the past but an alternate interpretation of the character from yet another dimension, Earth-2120.

Marvel characters in the Elizabethan era, that was the basic concept for Neil Gaiman's Marvel 1602 limited series. The following scans feature Werner and Scott Summerisle, this universe's versions of Warren Worthington III (Archangel) & Scott Summers (Cyclops) respectively. The two men are involved in a bizarre love triangle. Werner falls in love with a boy named John Grey (who is secretly Jean Grey in disguise). Scott becomes jealous but doesn't realize Werner doesn't know John is a woman. And you thought regular Marvel-616 lover triangles were complicated. Special thanks to Arion for these scans.

This series re-imagines Ryu and Ken as teenaged boys who travel the world seeking to improve their martial arts skills. The show has a much lighter tone than previous adaptations of the game (and the game itself), as evidenced by the following caps from the third episode, in which the boys are so overjoyed to learn that their hotel room comes with its own pool.

In New Teen Titans Vol. 1 #28, Dick Grayson is just hanging around in Starfire's apartment shirtless while Kory is dressed only in a robe. Gee, I wonder what they just finished doing. What could two healthy, attractive, semi-clothed teenagers do to pass the time, all alone in that apartment? Heh. Such a subtle way to show that Dick & Kory have a sexual relationship back in the day. Eventually, they did show the couple in bed in New Teen Titan Vol. 2 #1, which apparently caused controversy (at least according to Wikipedia).

In Daken: Dark Wolverine #4, our titular anti-hero pays the Fantastic Four a surprise visit. The FF were really surprised since they thought he was dead. They also didn't recognize him since he was wearing a mask leading Johnny to attacked him and burned off his "designer" costume. A bisexual man who's into fashion? Normally I'm a against stereotypes but I thought that was adorable. The more I read about Daken, the more I like him. He's not just some Wolverine ripoff.

These are scans from the very disturbing Caligula #2 from Avatar Press. The story so far: Junius vows to avenge his family's death at the hands of the titular Roman Emperor. Caligula raped and murdered his mother (and his young nephew) so the young man travels to the capital and actually gets close enough to Caligla to kill him. Jason is more or less kidnapped by the aliens. One particularly psychopathic one, Seren, attempts to seduce him, then drugs him and tortures him in the crystal matrix thingie. When he's released from that the medical equipment they sue to check him out is also crystal based, hence the weird look to it.

The dark haired, black-on-black eyed cutie is D'mer, a member of the Resistance within the Empire, the one dressed like a psychadelic marching band just threw up on him is Rieken. It would appear that just about everyone in the Empire is bisexual, and D'Mer and Rieken go at it like bunnies every chance they get, Reiken and Seren also have a history which is so full of boinking that Liana has to start singing "Mary had a little lamb" very VERY loudly so she doesn't accidentally pick up on their memories of each other.

A Distant Fan Service

icon-uk knew that I've been looking for Coleen Doran's A Distant Soil scans for a while now, so he very kindly sent in these scans from A Distant Soil: Immigrant Song. Since my knowledge of this series is very limited, I'll let icon-uk fill you in on what's what:

The story is a long and complex space opera one, involving a very decadent alien empire, a couple of human kids who may not be as human as they think, and more fluffy, beautifully conditioned 80's hair than you'll find in anything short of a Shingo Arkai anime.

The blond twink is Jason Scott, who along with his sister Liana have discovered they have some quite remarkable abilities... she appears to be an Avatar, a supremely powerful telepath who has the potential to hold the Empire together, and Jason is a "Disruptor", who does the opposite, and who can kill the aliens with a mere touch, though he can't control or trigger it yet. These are down to the fact that they are unknowingly the children of one of the aliens.

Sworquest: Earthword

Swordquest was series of unfinished video games released in the early 80's, probably one of the first "adventure" games ever. But like most of the games released in that era, the plot was a bit lacking in the game itself, so each of the three games in the series came with a companion comic that basically had all the characters & narrative.

The series stars two scantily clad fraternal twins thieves, Torr & Tarra. Torr is pretty hot, and I love his costume which basically consists of a white skirt & boots with some gold accessories.
